Can I use my own rates?
Yes. Change your hourly charge rate in one place, or tune any production rate, spread rate and paint cost per substrate. Saved quotes keep the rates they were priced at until you choose to refresh them.
What if someone else does the quoting?
Kastrion lives on one device today. Set your rates and substrates once on that device, and every quote priced on it comes out the same, whoever walks the job: hand your estimator the iPad and the price is still yours. Accounts that carry your rates across devices are on the roadmap.
How do I know the numbers are right?
Kastrion is a cell-by-cell port of the estimating system our own painting business quotes with every day. It is reconciled against real invoiced painting jobs.
What is Kastrion Pro?
Pro is the hosted client-proposal pilot: clear options, an issued version and an acceptance path beside the free estimator. It is opening business by business in Queensland. An AI receptionist remains on the roadmap.
What does Pro cost?
There is no subscription or setup fee in the accepted-job pilot. The first three accepted jobs are fee-free. After that Kastrion earns 1% of accepted value excluding GST and genuine pass-through charges, capped at $99 per job and $299 in a calendar month.
What counts as an accepted job?
The client selects an option, e-signs the issued proposal, the required deposit settles to your business and any applicable cooling-off period expires. Lost, unsigned, test and valid cooling-off cancellations cost $0.
Does Kastrion take the fee from my deposit?
No. The homeowner deposit is paid to your painting business. Kastrion issues a separate month-end statement and collects the fee under your authorised billing mandate.
Are payment processing fees included?
No. Any standard deposit-processing cost is shown separately from Kastrion’s accepted-job fee.
Where is the accepted-job service available?
The free estimator works across Australia. Hosted proposals and accepted-job pricing are opening with a controlled Queensland pilot before a wider release.
